The standard gate fits hearth 6' wide by 2' deep. Larger area may require additional sections. The HearthGate is 29 1/2" high and constructed of strong tubular steel with a black, non-toxic, heat resistant finish that is easy to maintain and blends with any décor.
Finally, there's a way to protect children from dual hazards of heat and fire from barbecues, fireplaces, and wood burning stoves as well as the dangerous corners and hard, rough surfaces associated with hearths. The HearthGate is the solution for layout s that do not have mounting points straight across.
Five 24" interlocking sections adjust in 10 degree increments and can be angled or set in a straight line as needed. Included in the five piece basic set is a walk through gate section that opens in either direction with a simple on hand adult release.
Measuring is as easy as: 1. Simply determine the area to protect or isolate. 2. Place objects at 24" intervals along line of the intended gate configuration. 3. Count the number of 24" segments to determine number of sections needed.
To Use
Opening the walk through door; squeeze handle up as much as possible. The locking bar should release from frame. Door can now swing in either direction. Gate should always be in locked position.
Closing and locking the walk through door: while closing door, squeeze handle up as much as possible and align the bottom of door with gate frame. Release handle and door should lock. Door will properly be locked when handle hook and bottom locking bar have engaged. Test to ensure door is locked.
Remember
Children are precious and no product replaces adult supervision. Never leave a child unattended.

The G70 provides protection as well as looks for fire and heat hazards like fireplaces and barbeques. Never use a pressure gate at the top of stairs.
